DAYTIMERS

Off to the Marine Corps Museum.
On Monday, May 19th, DAYTIMERS are planning a day trip to Marine Corps Museum, Quantico, VA. This museum has been open for only about a year. We are to meet at the Church at 9:45 a.m. to leave promptly at 10 o’clock. The cost will depend upon the number that go; however, it is not expected to exceed $20 per person, plus your lunch at a cafeteria at Quantico. Return is expected to be no later than 4 p.m. The sign up sheet is posted, and early signing up helped us plan for transportation. So, sign up now – last date is May 11th.

EDUCATION MINISTRY

Adult Forum ClassDoes prayer change us or God?  Or both?
We will be studying Philip Yancy's book Prayer.  The class meets Sunday mornings at 10 AM in the small dining room off the Fellowship Hall.  Come join us as we explore the topic of prayer and whether it makes a difference.

Wednesday, June 11 - Meat Loaf Day and MCEF Food Pantry.
Help keep the MCEF Food Pantry stocked - bring canned goods and non-perishable food items to church with you every week!  The next Meat Loaf day is June 11.  Please bring a cooked meat loaf to church and place it in the freezer.

Elders:  Bill Weimer, Laurie Walton, Heather Villafranca

PROPERTY MINISTRY

Adopt-A-Bed.
Back by popular demand, or at least a number of inquiries.  We have a layout of the property with all of the beds that need attention.  It will be available on Sundays until we can get each one assigned.  So, if you feel called, please find Chris Lane on Sunday to pick the bed you want to maintain.  You can also email or call him at 550-0728.

Paint Parties Begin Again.
We will begin paint parties on April 30 and continue for several weeks from 6 - 8 PM.  Dinner will be served before painting.  Wear your old clothes and bring a brush and bucket if you have one.  If you feel your painting skills are lacking, please sign up to help provide a meal.  Contact Chris for more information and to sign up.

Join us for the next Work Day.
Come out and help clean up the church yard on May 17 at 8 AM.  We will be trimming bushes, cleaning the curb along both Atlee and Signal Hill Roads, and other things to be determined later.  As always, delicious breakfast items will be available.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Elder:  Chris Lane

WORSHIP MINISTRY

May 25, 11 AM Service - The Almost-As-Good-As-Going-To-The-Rivah Concert.
Yes, It's Memorial Day weekend.  The youth bell choir will join the choir in leading worship with their annual concert.  So, if you're not cruisin' down the rivah, please plan to come.  Oh yeah, why not bring your family and friends?  It's a great way to celebrate!

TAKE NOTE

Message Boards are posted on the bulletin boards in the main hallway and in the Fellowship Hall listing items needed, such as paper goods, coffee creamer, etc.

If we all consider this part of our stewardship it would not be too much for a small number of people – let’s all pull together!  Your generosity is appreciated!

Note:  Save your receipts and any donations can be included in your contribution statement at the end of the year.
