The Ministry of the Staff  meets the fourth Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.

The February Fellowship Event was a huge success due to the hard work and willing participation of many people.  If you couldn’t attend, then you missed a great night of eating and entertainment.  Our fabulous MPC cooks provided 12 varieties of delicious chili – with Mary Elizabeth Nicely and Jennifer Jenkins tied for runners-up and Judy Cornwell’s “Boots Best Chili” honored as the 2007 MPC Chili Champ!  After dinner, Jay Cole served as Master of Ceremonies while we were entertained with 12 very different and exciting dance routines.  Paige Abasolo, Jennifer Jenkins and Keith Jenkins had the tough job of providing candid feedback to the contestants and selecting the top winners.  First Place went to Richard Peroe, Laurie Walton and Margaret Pilkington as the Lawrence Welk Champagne Dancers.  The MPC Village People (Kerry Martin, Laurie Walton, Jana and Mary Estes, and friend Monica) took Second Place with their rendition of YMCA and had the audience on their feet dancing and rocking around the fellowship hall.  Bill Allen and Danny Middleton as “Men II Boyz” tied for Third Place with Kerry Martin and Matt Spruill who did MPC’s version of the final number in the classic Dirty Dancing.  The event raised over $300 for the church and we are now providing DVDs ($3) to anyone who would like to relive that exciting evening of fabulous entertainment!
